Pandavkholi

Pandavkholi is situated some 60 Km. away from the famous hill station Ranikhet. This is connected with all weather road. You have to go to Dwarahat, Dunagiri and then Kukuchhina by car or bus. From Kukuchhina there is a briddle path of three Km. Pandavkholi is situated at a height of 8,800 fet from sea level. It is believed that Pandavkholi was the secret exile sojourn of Pandavas. It is said that when the Pandavas were in secret exile for 12 years the Pandavas found this place most suitable for security reasons and they made their sojourn at Pandavkholi. Draupadi Vihar and Bhim-ki-gudri dates backto the period before the birth of Christ. Draupadi Vihar is said to be the favourite rambling ground of Draupadi. Likewise Bhim-ki-gudri was the fascinating Bugyal (meadow) of the area. There are many myths surrounding the place. On the Mokshada Ekadashi, every year religious celebrations are held. It is believed that people who visit this place on the Mokshada Ekadashi they achieve salvation.
